Our team of joiners has a combined experience of over 150 years in the craft; creating staircases, reception desks, bars, window frames and doors and everything in between.
The foundation of the workshop is over 100 years old and whilst we have modernised our processes, the same determination for producing timeless, handcrafted pieces still runs throughout the business.

Craftsmanship & Workshop
Francis Joinery makes impeccably crafted bespoke manufactured joinery products. We make everything to order so that it matches a client’s exact specification. This is particularly beneficial for unusual spaces or where non-standard sizes are required. Our ability to make almost anything out of wood enables us to work in all sectors.
We are particularly skilled in working in heritage contexts. Our team are experienced in working in sensitive conservation areas, matching traditional joinery and updating its performance for the modern world.
Our joinery workshop is a spacious, well-equipped facility designed to handle a wide range of projects with precision and efficiency. It houses a variety of specialist machinery, including spindle moulders, a tenoner, five-cutter, crosscut saw, thicknesser, planers, and numerous types of saws and drills. This setup allows us to carry out detailed craftsmanship while maintaining high productivity, ensuring every piece is expertly made to the highest standards.

Careers
Each of our joiners has reached Level 2 or 3 NVQ in joinery. Our focus has been to nurture and develop their skills so that they are always learning and improving.
We are proud to have that repaid to us in their loyalty. Some of our joinery team have been with Francis Joinery for over 25 years and many begun their careers as apprentices with us.
